How is the Healer Archetype Acting through You?

How is the Healer Archetype Acting through You?

“An archetype is an inborn pattern of images, ideas, and instinctual impulses that functions much like a hidden magnet; we cannot actually see such underlying patterns, but we are propelled by their energy.”  -Marion Woodman

“Healing seeks the pathway of relief, release, and movement.  It does not serve to repair, but to mend.  Instead of returning one to ‘how it was’, healing moves one beyond the edge of ‘how it has been’ to a new place of understanding and possibility.” -Cat Caracelo, Coach/Author

There are only four kinds of people in the world.  Those who have been caregivers.  Those who are currently caregivers.  Those who will be caregivers, and those who will need a caregiver.” -Rosalyn Carter

“It seems that a stage of the healer archetype is the stage of believing ‘I have to help everybody, I have to be able to give it my all, and I can’t let them down, and I’m responsible.’  – Caroline Myss

“The wounds are the places where light enters.” -Rumi

“Healing may not be so much about getting better as about letting go of everything that isn’t you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are. Not a better you, but ‘realer’ you.”-Rachel Naomi Remen, MD

“What is the story the wound is telling me; what do I imagine is possible when I alter its ending by letting more light in?”

“What does my body have to say that I need to hear, and how might I engage in a conversation with my body today, a conversation that I’ve never had before?”
